Visiting Anne of Green Gables in Prince Edward Island honestly felt like stepping into the pages of the books I grew up loving.

That said, since we went in October, I have to admit many of these spots were starting to wind down for the season so if you’re planning your own trip, I highly recommend going in summer or early fall when everything is open and the island feels extra magical.

Here are some of the must-visit Anne of Green Gables sites on Prince Edward Island that you won’t want to miss:

Green Gables Heritage Place (Cavendish)

This is the place every Anne of Green Gables fan dreams of visiting — the real-life inspiration behind Green Gables itself.

Avonlea Village (Cavendish)

A recreated 19th-century village where Anne’s world comes to life! In summer, there are costumed characters, live performances, and little shops serving local treats.

When we went in October, most of it had closed for the season, but it was still fun to wander through and imagine what it would be like in full swing.

It’s a must-see for anyone exploring Anne of Green Gables PEI, and it’s the perfect place to grab a bite, wander, and take photos that feel straight out of the story.
