The Ultimate Girls Weekend Guide in Denver, CO

Say hello to the newest member of your girls weekend getaway lineup. Denver has been ranked as one of the best places to live in the United States, so it’s unsurprising it makes for the perfect girls trip.

So what makes this place so popular? I have put together the ULTIMATE travel guide that outlines some of the best things to do in Denver with your girlfriends.

Don’t forget to download your travel guide to Denver below! It’s filled with bonus places not found in this post.

Union Station

Oooh girl, I hope you are ready for this one. To say this place is perfect is kind of an understatement. It’s both historical and chic and isn’t that really the look you and your girlfriends are going for??

Union Station first opened its doors in 1881 and held bragging rights for being the largest building in the west. Today it is so much more than just a train station. This place is home to some of the best restaurants and the best shopping.

Oh and did I mention the most darling hotel can be found in the upper floors of Union Station??

If you really want to elevate your experience here make sure to make your way to the mezzanine of Union Station to check out The Cooper Lounge. This cocktail lounge gives major glamour vibes and provides some of the most spectacular views of this building.

Cooper Lounge is the type of place that gives you an excuse to get all dressed up, and isn’t that what you are really looking for when going out with your girlfriends for the weekend?

Larimer Square

For my next trick, I will make you pass out over this CUTE Instagram spot. Larimer Square is filled with some of the best things to do in Denver.

It’s most well known for the Colorado flags that line the streets overhead. The magic really happens when night falls and the beautiful lights above fill the streets.

Larimer Square is closed to vehicles and make this a perfectly walkable street with some lovely shops and fine dining. You and your girlfriends do not want to miss this place!

Downtown Denver

The Brookings Institution ranks Denver as the fourth most walkable downtown in the nation and is within walking distance of Union Station and Larimer Street.

I would recommend renting some electric scooters to do some exploring, we had the best time catching downtown views this way!

Please just promise me you will make your way over to the Colorado State Capitol, k?

Denver State Capitol

This place will steal your heart! I mean there is a reason I had to add it to the list of things to do in Denver.

You can actually climb the rotunda to catch 360 views of the city and get a glimpse of the rockies! What’s not to love about that?? Tours are free, but are only offered on Monday – Friday at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm.

To book a tour go here

Dairy Block

A new and upcoming area of Denver made for the foodie in your group. This area was once home to Windsor Dairy and now houses 19 restaurants, 7 bars, and 15 shops.

You will often find live music during the warmer months. More proof of just how really cool Denver is.

If you visit during the spring and summer months you may even be lucky enough to catch a farmers market in this cute alleyway.

We found some of our favorite shops here at Dairy Block, so you definitely don’t want to miss the shopping here!

You will easily discover why the locals classify this as one of the best things to do in Denver.

River North Art District (RiNo)

The time has come to show you the trendiest neighborhood in Denver, the River North Art District. Don’t believe me? See below.

This neighborhood is more commonly referred to as RiNo and has even gone as far as incorporating rhinos into much of the artwork found here. Keep an eye out for creative rhinos throughout the area!

You don’t want to forget to snap a photo in front of the iconic Denver mural below.

Denver Central Market can be found at the center of RiNo and what makes this place memorable is the selection of food found inside. It gives that effortless Instagram vibe you will be posting all over your story.

Fun fact: One of the best things to do in Denver is to stop by RiNo on the first Friday night of every month because you will find more than 50 studios and art galleries open to the public until 9 p.m!

Pastel Road

I am always on a mission to find Instagram hot spots, and this place is no exception! These cotton candy-colored buildings are sure to be the star of your next Instagram post.

It is not conveniently located in the heart of Denver but is less than 10 minutes from Union Station by car. The address can be found here: 2705 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204

Hammond's Candies

This company specializes in handmade candy and is best known for their handmade candy canes. They produce 10 MILLION A YEAR!!

They offer free tours where you get an inside look on how this iconic brand makes their delicious handcrafted candy.

This place gives some Willy Wonka vibes you don’t want to miss, so grab your girls and pop in for a free tour!

To book a tour go here

Boulder, CO

If you have ever wondered what it’s like to live in a Hallmark movie look no further than Boulder, CO.

Located just 25 miles northwest of Denver at the foot of the rocky mountains lies this charming town.

You will find the most darling little shops to explore on Pearl Street.

If you want to catch some killer vibes of the Rocky Mountains make sure to stop and have dinner at Rosetta Hall. Think of this place as an upscale food court with SO many options to choose from. You can’t go wrong with what you choose!
