I have spent the last 7 years all over Europe exploring Christmas Markets and I have to admit Germany DOES.NOT.DISAPPOINT! We spent 8 days on a road trip through Germany eager to find the best Christmas markets and I have to admit we found some GOOD ones! This is my enchanting Germany road trip Itinerary. I am sharing all my favorite towns, cool hotels, hidden gems, travel tips and more.

Where To Start Germany Christmas Market Itinerary
To start your Germany Christmas Market itinerary, I recommend you fly into Frankfurt. This is where we started and ended our trip, and it’s a great jumping off point to explore all the amazing Christmas Markets in this part of Germany.
Best way to get around? You will want to rent a car. There are some cute little towns that make it impossible to explore any other way. We were able to easily pick up our rental car at the Frankfurt airport. I recommend to book your car from rentalcars.com because they offer the best deals for places all over the world!
Best Time To Visit Germany Christmas Markets?
The best time to visit the Germany Christmas markets is during the Advent season, which typically starts in late November and lasts until Christmas Eve. This period offers the quintessential festive experience, with markets bustling with activity, adorned with twinkling lights, and filled with the aroma of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
To beat the crowds and enjoy a more intimate experience, it’s advisable to kick of your Germany Christmas Market itinerary earlier in the season. I’m talking late November/ Early December before the peak holiday rush sets in. This allows you to wander through the markets at a leisurely pace, soak in the magical atmosphere, and fully appreciate the charm of each unique market without large crowds.

We knew we couldn’t miss a stop in Cologne, after all it is considered one of the BEST in Germany (as evident by the HUGE crowds we saw here)! But I have to admit, even with big crowds, the Cologne Christmas markets did not disappoint. Which is why we kicked off our Germany Christmas Market itinerary here!
Cologne, Germany, is a Christmas market wonderland for those who appreciate a festive flair. There’s no denying Cologne sets the bar high with its iconic and whimsical offerings. As of now, specific dates for the opening of the Christmas markets in Cologne, Germany, in 2024 have not been announced. However, traditionally, the markets in Cologne typically open towards the end of November, around the start of the Advent season. Think November 23rd to December 23rd. Prepare to enter an enchanted wonderland at the Cologne Christmas Markets – where even the Heinzelmännchen, Cologne’s legendary house elves, couldn’t resist! With amazing bauble-esque mugs, a beautiful central skating rink and richly decorated chalets, this market is nothing short of world-class. Make sure you take your time, as this larger-than-life market is split into numerous themed ‘alleys’ that will delight all your senses – all spilling into both the Heumarkt and Alte Markt in Cologne’s Old Town.
Walking through Cologne’s Neumarkt square during the holiday season is like strolling through a magical wonderland. You’ll see dazzling stars hanging overhead, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a few angels on stilts. The rustic chalets here are painted white, adorned with natural decorations, and even the backs of the stalls are lovely enough to admire!

Get ready to be swept away by a sea of delightful half-timbered houses, magical festive projections along the centuries-old Hahnentorburg, and thoughtful decor. And let’s not forget about the captivating chapel adorned with frescoes. This is a great spot to find fun activities for kids.
Looking for a Christmas market with local flair? Skip the crowds and head to Stadtgarten. This hidden gem in the Belgian quarter has a boozy enchanted forest vibe that can’t be beat. And forget the touristy trinkets, here you’ll find only artisanal goodies.
If you’re looking for a cool holiday experience on the water, look no further than the riverside Cologne Harbour Christmas Market. This charming market has a nautical theme and a prime location along the Rhine, making it a unique destination for your holiday shopping. Although it may be smaller than other markets, it delivers big on scenery and ambiance.
INSIDER TIP: Expect BIG crowds at this Christmas market, but avoid visiting on a weekend if you can! We visited on a weekend and i’ve never felt more claustrophobic (and I don’t even get claustrophobia)

I’ve got some fantastic news to share – the Aachen Christmas Markets in 2024 have officially announced their opening dates! From November 22nd to December 23rd, 2024, you can immerse yourself in the festive spirit daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. But wait, there’s more! On Sunday, November 24th, 2024, known as Dead Sunday, the markets will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. And mark your calendars for Saturday, December 21st, 2024, because it’s going to be a long Christmas market day, open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lastly, on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, the markets will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Christmas Markets in Aachen To Explore
In Aachen, you’ll typically find several Christmas markets scattered throughout the city during the holiday season.
While the main Christmas market is located around the iconic Aachen Cathedral, there are also smaller markets spread across different parts of the city, each offering its own unique atmosphere and attractions. These additional markets often feature live music, entertainment, and a variety of food and drink stalls, adding to the festive ambiance of Aachen. Making Aachen a delightful destination for Christmas market enthusiasts.
Looking for a must-visit market in Aachen? Head over to the stunning medieval Rathaus (Town Hall), where you’ll be met with over 50 wooden chalets selling handmade gifts, decorations, and mouth-watering food. Don’t forget to stop by local bakery Nobis for their famous Aachen Printen – a spiced gingerbread treat that’s been a local favorite since 1858!

Nestled between the awe-inspiring Aachen Cathedral and the Town Hall, this market truly feels like something out of a fairy tale. I recommend visiting during the day to avoid the crowds—but don’t miss out on the amazing lights and decorations after dark! I don’t drink alocohol, but rumor has it the mulled wine from the OECHER Glühwein-Treff, the oldest Glühwein stall in the city is the best. Their delicious red mulled wine is made from Dornfelder grapes, while the white is made from Müller-Thurgau grapes.

If you head down to Münsterplatz, at the southern end of the amazing Aachen Cathedral, you won’t want to miss the Aachener Weinachtsmarkt’s third location. Make sure to check out the Hexenhof, a cozy Biergarten where you can warm up with some delicious mulled wine.

Feel free to check out two Advent Markets located on Holzgraben and Kugelbrunnen! While they only sell food, they’re perfect for a quick bite on-the-go. You can even find a fun children’s carousel, so this is the perfect family friendly stop.

I.AM.OBSESSED. Monschau is the most romantic little town straight out of a sweet little romance film and we soaked up every minute of our time here!! This is one spot you absolutely want to include in your Germany Christmas market itinerary, because it oozes romantic Christmas vibes.

Here you’ll find the cutest wooden huts offering everything from handmade gifts to traditional Christmas treats. And while you’re here pop into Café Kaulard for a warm cup of coffee and some delicious baked treats – their second-floor views of the square are truly unbeatable.
If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a Glühwein during the Monschau Christmas market, we definitely recommend checking out Gerberplatz. While it may not have as many stalls as the bustling Marktplatz, it’s a great spot to escape the crowds and relax with a warm drink.
Don’t forget to check out the Markthalle! This is where you’ll find tons of local artisans selling their amazing “Made in Monschau” products. And bonus that it’s inside, so you can get cozy and warm.
From the Christmas markets to the twinkly lights and garlands, Monschau’s Old Town Center is like a real life snowglobe!!! Take a leisurely stroll through this charming setting and soak up the holiday cheer.

On day four of our German Christmas market itinerary, we’ll explore the charming cities of Trier and Bernkastel-Kues.
In Trier, known for its rich history dating back over 2,000 years, we’ll marvel at ancient Roman ruins and soak up the festive atmosphere at the city’s Christmas markets.
Then, we’ll make our way to Bernkastel-Kues, nestled along the scenic Moselle River, where we’ll wander through the quaint streets adorned with holiday decorations and browse the stalls of the picturesque Christmas market.

You Will Fall IN LOVE with Bernkastel-Kues!
Immediately entering my gingerbread girl era and plotting how to move to a town like this!!! Bernkastel-Kuws may possibly be one of the cutest little towns I’ve ever set eyes on, and the Christmas magic here is on a whole other level!
Despite its small size it makes up for in Christmas magic. This enchanting town can be found 2 hours west of Frankfurt on the banks of the Moselle River. You’ll find just 40 lovingly decorated Christmas market stalls here AND this town has its own advent calendar!! The half-timbered house opens each day from Dec. 1st to Dec. 24th and reveals a cute little character

From traditional crafts to delicious treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this festive event.

In Bernkastel-Kues, you’ll find one main Christmas market, which is held in the town center and is the focal point of the holiday festivities. This market features a variety of stalls selling traditional crafts, gifts, and food and drink specialties.
What makes this Christmas market really stand out though?? Each evening during the Advent season, the town’s historic building in the town center is illuminated with festive lights to reveal a numbered window, similar to the doors of an Advent calendar. As the window is opened, a special scene is revealed, often accompanied by music or storytelling. This daily ritual creates a sense of excitement as locals and visitors gather to witness the unveiling of each new window, counting down the days until Christmas!!

And believe me, even two nights here won’t feel like enough time to enjoy this stunning property!

Wander Through The Grounds of Eltz Castle
We knew we couldn’t explore this part of Germany without visting one of the most popular castles in Germany! While the castle’s interior tours may be closed for the season, the grounds remain open, offering a glimpse into . Explore the castle’s picturesque surroundings, adorned with frost-kissed trees and the serene beauty of the Moselle Valley. Although the halls may be silent, the magic of Eltz Castle is sure to leave a lasting impression on your winter adventure in Germany!

Here is What You Need To know About Visiting Eltz Castle
Visiting Eltz Castle during the off-season can be a magical experience, with fewer crowds allowing for a more intimate tour of this historic gem. Here are some tips to make the most of your visit:
Parking at Burg Eltz Castle is available at designated parking lots located near the castle. The best place to park is usually in one of the designated parking lots provided specifically for castle visitors. These lots are well-marked and often situated within a short walking distance from the castle grounds.
As for parking fees, it’s important to note that there is usually a parking fee associated with visiting Burg Eltz Castle. When we visited in early December we found no place to pay for parking, but there was also no one else there at 10 am. Some sources indicate that parking may be free during the off-peak season.
After parking, you’ll find a well-marked trail that leads from the parking area to the castle grounds. This trail winds through the picturesque surrounding forest, offering a scenic walk to the castle entrance. The walking path is usually well-maintained and relatively easy to navigate, making the journey to the castle part of the adventure. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to soak in the natural beauty of the area and catch glimpses of the castle nestled amidst the trees, building anticipation for your visit. It’s a delightful way to approach Burg Eltz Castle and adds to the overall experience of visiting this iconic landmark.
What can I say?? I am a sucker for a good dress at a spot like this!! Not shown, me wrapped up in layers before snapping some photos. The off-season months, particularly in winter, can bring chilly temperatures to the region. Dress warmly in layers and wear sturdy shoes, especially if you plan to explore the castle’s surrounding trails.
Next Stop (Optional): A Sleepy Little German Town
Visiting the town of Beilstein in December offers a unique and enchanting experience, characterized by its cozy atmosphere and festive charm. As a picturesque village nestled along the banks of the Moselle River, Beilstein exudes a timeless appeal. But I have to confess, this town really thrives in the summer. We made a stop here, because it was just a short drive from Eltz Castle, and the town was totally shut-down. Not a soul to be seen.
Although Beilstein may be considered a “ghost town” in the winter months, this can actually work in favor of those seeking a peaceful experience. Wander through the narrow cobblestone streets, admire the charming half-timbered houses adorned with a few holiday decorations, and soak in the serene ambiance of this idyllic village.

Visit The Small Historic Town of Cochem
Oh Cochem, you’re so cute, but let’s be real – your Christmas markets didn’t quite make the cut. Don’t expect anything too incredible in that department. Out of all the spots we checked out on our Germany Christmas Market itinerary, these fall to the bottom of the list. But fear not, this charming town still has plenty to offer, including a breathtaking castle perched atop a hill with stunning views of the Moselle river valley. So let’s talk about what to see while you’re here!

When are the Cochem Christmas Markets Open in 2024?
The Cochem Christmas markets in 2024 will be open from November 29th to December 22nd, bringing a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere. We wished there had more markets here, and were hopeful the items being sold didn’t look like they had been purchased straight out off of Amazon. We found the food to be pretty good though.
Things to do in Cochem while you’re here?
As winter descends upon this picturesque town, Cochem transforms into a festive little wonderland, offering visitors an array of delightful activities to enjoy during the month of December. From exploring the fairytale-like Reichsburg Castle, perched majestically above the town, to wandering through the cozy streets of the Old Town adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations.
While Cochem is undoubtedly a charming destination, its Christmas markets may not offer the same grandeur and variety as those in larger cities. The markets in Cochem tend to be smaller in scale and may lack the extensive selection of locally produced goods found in larger markets. The Christmas markets are located in the heart of the town’s historic Old Town area, often centered around the picturesque Marktplatz (Market Square).
Reichsburg Castle, also known as Cochem Castle, is a stunning medieval fortress perched atop a hill overlooking the picturesque town of Cochem. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in the region and is renowned for its fairytale-like appearance and rich history. Visitors to Reichsburg Castle can explore its historic rooms, including the Knights’ Hall, the Gothic Revival-style dining room, and the cozy living quarters on a guided tour.
Tickets cost 8,50 euros and you will need to purchase tickets on site. BONUS: Dogs are allowed on these tours!

Set against the backdrop of Heidelberg’s iconic landmarks and scenic views of the Neckar River, the Christmas markets cannot be missed and deserve a spot on your Germany Christmas Market itinerary.

Come skate on one of Germany’s most stunning ice rinks, surrounded by the picturesque castle scenery.
What makes this spot so popular is the Heidelberg barrel, a massive wooden barrel that can hold 120,000 liters – that’s half the size of the original barrel in Heidelberg Castle. Take a peek inside and you’ll find a cozy room above the sales booth, complete with an unbeatable view of the square and market.

But situated on the picturesque Rhine River, it’s a city that often goes unnoticed… as I admittedly almost overlooked. But when I found myself in the area, I figured hey, why not see what all the fuss isn’t about? And I am so glad we did!

Helping You Scope Out The Karlsruhe Christmas Markets
We were surprised by all the different Christmas Markets here, and the best part is most of them are within walking distance of each other. Besides, who says you only have to visit one spot to enjoy the Karlsruhe Christmas Market scene? This festive wonderland is scattered throughout the city, and I am sharing where you need to go to find them!
This charming square is surrounded by grand buildings like the State Museum of Natural History and the Baden State Library, adding a touch of elegance to the dozens of chalets selling handicrafts, food and more. Don’t forget to glance up at the chalet rooftops, which are adorned with delightful lights and decorations. And, for those who love a bit of flair, keep an eye out for the “Flying Santa Claus” who zooms through the sky every night at 5 and 7pm.
You won’t want to miss the Karlsruhe Christmas Market’s extension at Marktplatz. For starters, there’s a giant ferris wheel and chalets serving up a large selection of tasty food. And fun fact: the pyramid statue in the middle of the Christmas Market is actually a tomb marker for the city’s founder, Margrave Karl Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach
Welcome to the charming Christmas market in St Stephan Church! This lovely event is perfect for families, with delightful displays showcasing scenes from beloved nursery rhymes for you to admire. Can you guess which nursery rhyme each display represents? Don’t forget to take part in the fun games and enjoy some delicious food too!
Prepare to time travel to the Middle Ages at the Durlach Medieval Christmas Market – our absolute FAVORITE Christmas market in Karlsruhe! With skilled storytellers, mesmerizing jugglers, daring swordsmen and even a spectacular fire show, this market at Karlsburg in Durlach is a legendary one that’ll leave you in awe with its mouth-watering food, captivating performances and unforgettable market stalls. It gives major medieval vibes in the BEST way! If you only have time for one stop, let it be this one!
Who needs markets and shopping when you could be ice-skating at the Stadtwerke Eiszeit in front of Schloss Karlsruhe, Southern Germany’s largest open-air skating rink? And best of all, it’s open until the end of January!

When I heard there was a Christmas Market dedicated to CHOCOLATE, I knew it was worth adding to our Germany Christmas Market itinerary. Get ready to indulge in all things chocolate at Tübingen’s Christmas market! The chocolART Christmas market is a chocoholic’s dream come true, with stands offering every imaginable form of chocolate – hot chocolate, spicy chocolate, vegan chocolate, chocolate cake, chocolate spread, chocolate-covered fruit, and even chocolate-infused drinks. If it’s made of chocolate, chocolART is the place to be!

When To Visit Tübingen Christmas Markets in 2024
Get ready for a good time at the Tübingen Christmas markets from Friday, December 13th to Sunday, December 15th, 2024! This charming market transforms the city into a winter wonderland, offering visitors a festive atmosphere filled with twinkling lights, delicious treats, and unique gifts.
BUT HERE’S A LITTLE SECRET: even if you’re visiting outside of these dates, you might still stumble upon the market square filled with vendors selling chocolate and spreading holiday cheer. This happened to us when we visited in 2023 and thought we had missed it, but were pleasantly surprised to find what looked like a very lively Christmas market in the town square.

German Christmas markets are pretty magical, but let me tell you about a city that absolutely crushed it!!! The Esslingen Christmas Market near Stuttgart had me borderline obsessed.
I’m talking musical performers on stilts, drinks sold in potion bottles, and vendors decked out in costume. Plus, have you seen the half-timbered buildings in Esslingen? It’s like stepping back in time, but with all the modern amenities (like hot chocolate).
Trust me, this is the coolest and most unique Christmas market in the country. Don’t believe me? Go see it for yourself and thank me later!

Step into one of the workshops in the adorable half-timbered houses. It’s a holiday destination that will be the highlight of your Germany Christmas Market itinerary!

Check out the traditional Christmas market at Marktplatz. With over 80 stalls offering handmade treasures like ornaments, toys, and jewelry, you’ll have plenty to choose from. And don’t forget the classic Christmas treats like roasted almonds and glühwein (mulled wine). Just head over to the towering Christmas pyramid to get your fill.
Get ready to step back in time at the medieval market in front of the stunning red Rathaus! With vendors dressed in period costumes, unique handicrafts, and live performances! This city truly knows how to embrace its history – so don’t be surprised if you see wandering minstrels and jesters entertaining the crowds.
Don’t miss a stop at this tiny haven of entertainment, featuring a hand-operated ferris wheel (rumored to be the teeniest in all the land!) and classic medieval games like archery and crossbow. This area was SO much fun!!
Prepare to be transported back to the medieval era as you explore Esslingen’s Hafenmarkt! Here you can indulge in delectable food and admire handcrafted treasures among the charming half-timbered houses. Don’t miss the fountain in the center of the square – it’s been around for over 500 years and still going strong!

Enjoy your indulgences with a smile knowing the proceeds go to a good cause. The Eßlinger Zeitung has been collecting donations here since the 60s to support social institutions around the city.
Looking to add something unique to your holiday shopping list? Head to the Adventsmarkt! This jam-packed market boasts 30+ vendors selling one-of-a-kind handmade goods that you won’t find elsewhere. And with a rotating lineup of vendors every weekend, you’re bound to find something new each time you visit. The market runs Saturdays from 11am to 9:30pm and Sundays from 11am to 8:30pm.

As you wander through the hallowed halls, you’ll feel the whispers of history echoing all around you, and you can’t help but be enchanted by the beauty and grandeur of this hidden gem.

Insider Information on Visiting Wiblingen Abbey
Let’s dive into what you need to know about visiting the Wiblingen Abbey library for the first time! I am going to help you maximize your time exploring the library’s treasures without any unexpected closures or delays. Make sure to check out the essential information below.
Library Hall:
- NOVEMBER 1 TO FEBRUARY 29: Only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- MARCH 1 TO 31: Tuesday – Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- APRIL 1 TO JULY 31: Tuesday – Friday, Sunday it’s open from 10:00 AM – 05:00 PM. On Saturdays it’s open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- AUGUST 1 to AUGUST 31 it’s open Tuesday – Sunday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- SEPTEMBER 1 TO OCTOBER 31 it’s open Tuesday – Friday, Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Admission to enter the library includes admission into their Monastery Museum and it costs 5,50 euros. Audio guides are included in English, German or French.
We quickly discovered it’s not easy finding this library once you’re on the grounds. So here is some insider information to help guide you: When facing the entrance of the basilica, the library entrance is located in the pink building to the left-hand side, with a red sign in front of it. Although it may say “rooms,” follow the signs for “Bibliothek” and head up two sets of stairs to the museum ticket office. If you need assistance, there is an elevator available.
Expect large crowds if you’re visiting in the off season, this is due to the fact the library is only open for a small window of time two days a week. If you want some photos to yourself, like I did, it will require just a little bit of patience. You can find seats around the room to sit and relax while you wait.
And while you’re here, make sure to pop into the Basilica of St Martin. It’s the big church in the complex and rumor has it it’s beautiful inside. We regret not visiting when we had the chance, but we were running low on time.

Head to Stuttgart’s Karlsplatz for a Finnish wonderland! With charming wooden stalls selling Glögi and Flammlachs, and a cozy Lavvu for snacking, this little village is the perfect escape from the holiday hustle and bustle. Don’t forget to snap a pic under the long strings of Finnish flags while you’re here!
Get ready to count down the days till Christmas in a cool way! The Stuttgart Town Hall transforms into a larger-than-life Advent Calendar starting December 1. Each day, a new window with a number pops up, revealing a picture that is anything but traditional. While the city claims they’ll be showcasing family crest designs, it’s not entirely clear that’s the case.
Marktplatz is the main Christmas market in Stuttgart! Not only will you find the traditional ornaments and handicrafts, but also a surprising selection of cleaning products. Admit it, you never knew you needed a special soap for your dishes until you saw it at a Christmas market.
Step into a snug little market with a jumbo glittering tree and a picturesque backdrop featuring the Stuttgart Old Castle and Collegiate Church. Though not in the heart of the action, this square truly springs to life during Stuttgart’s Christmas Market season.
Prepare to be enchanted by the charming wooden huts that await you at Schlossplatz – nestled against the backdrop of Stuttgart’s most stunning sights. And if that isn’t enough to entice you, there are a few ferris wheels nearby for added thrills and excitement!

We stayed at Le Méridien Stuttgart, and although the rooms were in need of an upgrade, let’s face it, who needs fancy walls when the Christmas markets are calling? As loyal Marriott-goers, we made the booking without hesitation. The saving grace? A breakfast spread to leave you satisfied! And it helps that the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Stuttgart’s Christmas Markets.
Day Eight: Charming Idstein and Cool Frankfurt
As we bid Auf Wiedersehen to our Germany Christmas Market itinerary, let’s explore a town so idyllic it could be mistaken for a fairy tale setting right outside Frankfurt. Pinch yourself, it’s real! And to cap it off, we’ll take a nightcap in Frankfurt before saying Tschüss to Germany the next day.

This quaint town is bursting with holiday magic. Picture cobblestone streets, even more half-timbered houses, and vibes straight out of a storybook. So why did we include Idstein on our list? Idstein captivates visitors with its timeless allure. It’s a perfect stop for immersing yourself in the charm of rural Germany.
Plus, there’s plenty of history to uncover, from the ancient Idstein Castle to the town’s fascinating museums and cultural events. It’s the kind of place where you can take things slow, soak in the scenery, and just enjoy the simple pleasures of small-town life.
We spent a Sunday morning here and wandered the streets for a couple hours. I will add that almost everything seemed to be closed, but we still enjoyed our stroll through this VERY CUTE town!
This the Final End Point: Frankfurt
With its bustling airport and famous name, it’s no wonder Frankfurt Christmas Market is THE place to be during winter in Europe. But let’s be real, you’ll have to deal with the masses of tourists. Don’t let Frankfurt’s boring city reputation fool you, the Christmas Markets here will pleasantly surprise you. Just be prepared for the crowds.

Move over Santa, it’s time for the Frankfurt Christmas Market to take center stage! This market has it all: from the main attraction at Weihnachtsmarkt Frankfurt to the hidden gems scattered throughout the city. I am spilling the tea on the must-see locations of the main Frankfurt Christmas Market.
The heart and soul of Frankfurt’s Christmas Market? That would be Römerberg! With its adorable half-timbered backdrop, a towering Christmas tree bedazzled with 6500 lights and 300+ ribbons, and a charming vintage carousel, this spot is like a real-life snow globe. And with stalls selling goodies like grilled sausages, roasted nuts, and stunning ornaments, it’s no wonder everyone hypes up this market. Sure, it gets very, VERY packed, but it’s still worth a visit on your Germany Christmas Market itinerary!
Near Römerberg, you’ll stumble upon St. Paul’s Church – the perfect spot for some holiday cheer! Treat yourself to the best of the best at Wagner’s Honighaus, a quaint half-timbered shop boasting a sweet selection of honey and mead, plus beautifully carved candles.
Who says holiday shopping has to be a hassle? Not in Frankfurt! The Römerberg Christmas Market is conveniently connected to the busiest shopping street in town, so you can knock out all your gift needs in one fell swoop. And don’t forget the treats! You’ll even find a couple cute stalls selling dog friendly treats for you to bring home to your four-legged child.
