THIS IS THE CUTEST ANIMAL ENCOUNTER IN NEW MEXICO: @wildspiritwolfsanctuary Hidden in the high desert of New Mexico, Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary rescues displaced and captive-bred wolves, wolfdogs, and other wild canids—giving them a forever home filled with love and care. 💙 You can visit this incredible sanctuary on a guided tour (offered Thursday–Sunday at 12 PM & 3 PM) or explore on your own with a self-guided visit. And if you’re lucky, you might get the chance to have a free up-close encounter with one of their more social rescues! 🥰 (Just ask your guide when you arrive—interactions aren’t guaranteed, but they’re magical when they happen!) ✨ How to book: Reservations are required for guided tours, so be sure to plan ahead! As an Arizona local this is my all time FAVORITE tour to share with friends and family from out of town: @saguarolakeranch Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch provides a little oasis in the middle of the desert where you can book kayak tours down the Salt River. The views are truly unbeatable 📸 Their kayak tour takes you through the Tonto National Forest where you can catch glimpses of wildlife. It takes two hours, but it goes by SO quickly because you’re so distracted by the incredible views 👀 You don’t need any prior kayaking experience to enjoy this tour. It’s suited for all levels!
